22 - 26 April is Spring Carlisle. It's a multi-make swap meet with no show. The All Ford Nationals is scheduled for 5 - 7 June 2015: http://www.carlisleevents.com/carlisle-events/carlisle-ford-nationals/default.aspx

Came last year as a spectator, but now my car is finished and I want to bring it.  Since I'm a newbie at this, I have several questions:
-What days do you all have your cars in the showfield?
-Is there a designated area for those of us that are on the registry?  If not, do you try to gather in one area?
-Bring your own canopy?
-For those that arrive Fri before they close, do you leave your car in the showfield overnight?  Designated area for leaving trailers?

Thanks for your feedback.

Weather permitting I'll be there with my car on Saturday. I'll be parked in the 1970 Mach 1 class. I drive up from Virginia and don't usually spend the night. I did for the 2008 reunion and parked the car with me at a motel over night. Some people leave the car on the show field, but I think most people don't. The field gets pretty empty as late afternoon turns into evening.

For the last few years (except for last year) I was working with the organizers to have a club tent set up. No one was ever interested in actually setting up tables and manning the tent, so it was just a tent under which we would set a time to meet. The tent costs real money unless you have something like 25 registered club members. We haven't had that many for the last few years, so last year I didn't pay for a tent. I didn't do it this year, either.

Some people bring canopies, but make sure it can be properly secured.

Was talking to Scott this week - wanted me to remind (the many that always walk down to K45/46) that I won't be there this year.  I know no free T shirt, ham sandwich or abuse !   Have fun !!     You can still walk down to L row and see George!

Mark
P.S.  Sadly Bill and I will not be there in 2016 either.  New rules for Carlise as well as market changes (mostly people changes) has us rethinking the overall cost of the abuse (abuse on us this time) LOL

Nope! not ringing a bell. I do remember a short pale skin guy talking stupid but, that can't be you.

Mark. You were giving away fee t-shirts AND food? Why was I not informed?

And free abuse to all that I see. See mark, I will pick up were you left off. LOL.

Thank goodness Ford put wipers on the cars back then LOL!! Seems like just about every year we hit Rain , had the whole driver side Wiper Arm fly off the 70' on the PA Turnpike a few years back..that was fun..!

Looked for Chris at J31 Thursday after driving thru some heavy rain . That was around noon. Limped the 70 to the show field as it started runing like crap as I got off the carlisle exit. Tim n I trouble shot it and swapped coils  that was the problem child.  Walked down vendor row and picked up a new one from tony branda. Glad it picked the right place to fail lol.

Scott, it was great to meet you and Chris.  After the showers subsided, it turned into a beautiful afternoon.  I had the only big block in our group.  It was my first time bringing my GT and really enjoyed chatting with people about it....it's amazing how many Mustang fans don't know that the GT existed in '69.

Jim, if you didn't stick around until Sunday you might not know that your car received a first place award in addition to the one we talked about. Check with the organizers about getting your plaques mailed to you. The winner list can be found here:
