Scott Hollenbeck has been interested in 428 Cobra Jet Mustangs, especially the 1969 and 1970 models, since he became old enough to drive in the late 1970s. Back then he had more time than money, so it took a number of years before he was able to acquire one of his own. The dream became reality in 1996 with the purchase of an R-code 1970 Mach 1. He began an effort to resurrect the 428 CJ Mustang registry project in 1998 after it became apparent that an earlier registry project had gone dormant.
