So, I guess I should be pleased that I've not lost any other high-dollar parts with all the delays and moving around I've done, but it appears I'm no longer in possession of these parts, and they were some of the FIRST parts I ever purchased!!

So, I need to find another set I think - what years/models are compatible? 67, 68, 69, 70?

68 / 69 are the same. There's a date code on the control valve cap.
1910 Model T Ford Touring Red
1915 Model T Ford Touring Black
1914 Model T Ford Touring
1917 Model T Ford Torpedo Green
1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 GT-E Green 427 W Code
1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 428CJ R code 3.91 C6

This makes a good case for making a log of the parts that you have. Maybe even where you stashed/loaned them. Great that you found replacements so quickly.

What happens if you misplace the log though?  A log of where you keep your logs?  :)

Very good point Gerald. I've chosen to keep mine on my computer with an external hard drive backup.
Moving into the 21st century allows me to keep lots of data, pictures & such. I wish cloud storage was a bit more affordable. I have stored some files on my ISP's email server as attachments to fictional emails at no cost.
I reccomend spending a day or so taking digital pictures of everything in your house, garage & yard in case of a big insurance claim.
You're not fooling me, I bet that you've done the same thing. I appreciate the opportunity to demonstrate to the members some data collection that hopefully they'll never need. I'm sure no one lives in any areas subject to forest fires, volcanos, flooding or other natural disasters. ;)

Indeed I have, and it's a good recommendation...a picture being worth many thousands of words arguing with an insurance company if the worst happens.  Digital cameras and flash drives have certainly made it a lot easier.  Emailing files to yourself also works, although I feel better having something "physical".

I log on to my ISP's email server. I store the data as an attachment to a draft email. Drafts seem to be storable forever. I do have an option to make a folder where I guess I could store stuff. If you email it to yourself you leave your data vulnerable to the same calamities your trying to avoid. I.e. received emails are normally stored on your pc.
I admire Brian's great pictures that he seems to be able to post in just minutes.
I remember walking into a computer parts store years ago. Big banner celebrating that a 100gb hard drive had fallen to $1,000. Maybe it was a 1tf, I forget the size. I just bought a 2tf drive for $50. Has to be a brutal business. Spinning storage is beyond cheap.

I know '70 are different, but are the other two interchangeable?
