68.5 voltage regulator

Who is offering the best voltage regulator these days for our CJ? What would interest me would be correct look with modern technology.

Looks like a plan! Thanks Royce! Have never met you but I always enjoy reading your posts and have seen you participate in an interview on one of the "car show" programs a while back talking about the "W" code Cougars. Anyway, was at the FERR in Beaver Springs, PA a few weeks back and saw TWO GT-E W code Cougars there. Very rare for me to run across one, but TWO! One red and one blue. Very nice.  Never understood why that engine combo never made it into the Mustang. Maybe Ford didnt want it to take away publicity  (interpret that to money) to the newly developed CJ package??

I think it was all precipitated by the strike at the beginning of the '68 model year. The Cougar GT-E package was going to generate more income from the 500 427 W code engines on hand, due to higher prices for the GT-E option compared to the engine in any other car line. I suspect most any decision at Ford was linked to dollars and cents more than anything lese.
