Title: auto transport... again
Post by: b--r30 on October 01, 2018, 11:08:28 am
Tentatively sold a car to a gentleman in Austin TX.He became greatly confused on the transport end of the deal and put the ball in my court. As it turns out,I'm probably more confused than he was.Anyway, the deal will probably fall through if I don't handle it sooo...From Sioux City,Ia to Austin Tx,any recommendations?Really would appreciate some good advice!

I've used Plycar Transport enclosed and was quite happy with their service.

Contact Chris at autotransportinfo at yahoo.com
He is a Mustang guy and owns www.discountautotransport.com
He is a broker and has moved a lot of cars for me, friends and family
Tell him Mike in GA referred you.  (Doesn't help me any but at least he'll now you came well referred)

Is the buyer paying for shipping...as it usually makes sense to have the hauler paid COD.

Yeah, the buyer is paying but I have to make the arrangements. Thanks for the tips.I got about 50 quotes and they're roughly all the same. If you look at the reviews, each one has half 5 star, half 1 star. Most complaints were not sticking to pickup and delivery times. Not that big of a deal to me or the buyer.Would prefer a 2 or 3 car small carrier that doesn't have to do a bunch of unloading and reloading or warehousing, interlining which I've had happen.

Talked to Chris for quite a while.Very interesting guy.The list of Mustangs he has owned is extensive. He seems like a straight shooter and sounds like a guy I want to go with.
