2008 FR500CJ Capital of the East Coast

Ok maybe were not the east coast capital of FR500CJ race cars but there were two in my shop for a while so I'd thought I'd post a few pics.  We did some work on the Don Fezell / Bob Hallstrom car...roll cage, fuel cell, weight box, wheelie bars etc.  It really came out nice.

You can see the work pic's on my website:

I was at John Calverts shop in Ca when the 2008 CJ car he won the winter nats with was shipped to Phoenix Az race .It  was sitting next to his 68 1/2 fomer Winter nats winner.Cool cars that run very well.
had many 428 CJ and SCJ cars over the last 30 years.I currently own a 68 1/2 coupe and a 69 R code SCJ Coupe and a 70 R code SCJ Cougar Eliminator .I am looking for a 70 428 coupe if anybody knows of one for sale.

Erich,

Great work. Don's a great guy. What's the plan out there? You guys both going to run the same class? You think you'll be able to make it to Tulsa next June with the 08?

Hey guys thanks for the good words.  Yes Don is a great guy and I really appreciate him trusting me with his car.  It was a cool deal having two of the CJ's in my shop and I'd like to do more...hint hint Ben!

Anyway for now the plan is to keep the automatic trans in my car and run AA/SA.  I know Don is keeping the stick shift and running A/S or AA/S.  However, I don't think I'm gong to make it Tusa next year.  What is going on out there?
