Cross member finish
« on: May 13, 2018, 01:16:21 pm »
Couple of questions....
1)What is correct finish for a 68.5 Dearborn 4-speed cross member?
2)I suspect tinted glass was an option on the 68.5??? Would it be listed as an option on the Marti report?
Started rewiring car with a complete wiring harness kit I got from Pete Disher. So far everything fits like a glove. Just saying.
Thanks!

Tinted glass complete, would be listed on a Marti report also the cross member would be no finish as in bare steel.

On the cross member remember your looking for a fresh smooth metal finish like you would find on a new piece it you went to a metal supplier not a freshly media blasted finish.  Also any welds would be darkened and the metal surrounding would be blued from the heat of the welding
