Very cool - brings back allot of memories. Just realized an old family friend was the producer of that film.

   x-70option  - Mark,
Two different friends of mine have ORIGINAL M/T ramp trucks. One is restored and the other is about to be. Very cool indeed. I hauled my race car on a similar open truck for 25 years and have recently gone to an enclosed truck like Funny Car teams went to after the open style. The one to have back in the day was made by Oleynik Body Co in Detroit Mi. Over 100 were made for factory teams and independent racers all over the country. Many old photos show the haulers and they are gaining popularity as well.

No idea about that, but pretty sure AMT made the 1/25 scale version because I had one on my bookshelf. That was my pride and joy when I was 9 years old. Wish I still had it...

Randy, I would sure love to see that truck. This is as close as I will get! I plan on changing the cab to match the actual Drag Team trucks

Randy has the setup.  Enclosed hauler for car, parts and tools. Oh, and he is racing a Shelby 350, consistently, in the low sevens.  Brian

Anyone know who made the fiberglass Mustang bodies?
Info Taken and IDENTIFIED HERE from "60's Funny Cars" webpage

"Pat Foster built the blue 427 SOHC powered Mustang as well as a red twin that he drove himself. The team was awesome that year......."

It would seem that MT's shop built it...and it was NOT a Narrow Frame Funny Car car as later ID'ed by THE racing classes
I believe Fiberglass Ltd built several cars back in that era
