Steve, GREAT job. What does your car weigh in at? Did you change shocks? Tire Pressures? If you don't want to answer ,I'll understand. Take Care, Jim

What is your best time for the Fairlane? What gear are you running in that? How many 427 cars do you see? I didn't get down to see you at Carlisle, Ford Nats.

I think it is around 3350 lbs.I have better shocks and 45 lbs of air in the tires.I am running a 4.11 in the Fairlane It has run a 11.18 last fall and have been fighting all kinds of problems this year with it .I hope to get it in the 10,s soon.

...I have better shocks and 45 lbs of air in the tires...

428 CJ hardtops, not to dig too deeply into your secrets, but...the last time we had a thread regarding tire pressures I remember you saying that you were running near-bald Polyglas tires on the Fairlane at some really low pressure like 15 psi.  All my experience (admittedly very old) argued for 40 psi or more in the Polyglas and I was baffled by your results with the low pressure.  What happened with that?

The extra 200 or more hp in the Fairlane makes it much harder to launch .I started out with 45 lbs and as the tires wore down and the lower the pressure I tried the more it liked it.the lower preassure along with the sidewalls loostening up from lower pressure and the tire works like a narrow slick.I will try the Fairlanes tires on the Mustang in a few weeks if possible .It has run 1.83 and 1.84 60 ft times on the 45 lb Polyglass tires and the Fairlane has gone 1.60 60 ft times on the worn down G-70-15 red lines. It ran a 12.51 at 109.64 with a 1.90 60 ft time with a bad bog of the line and blew a head gasket at the 1000 ft mark.I know with a 1.80 the car  would run way into the 12.20's.I still havent played with jetting or realy fine tuned it yet.
