Another Maryland track closes

Capital Raceway closed this year. The website said that there might be a new management opening it back up..hope so.....................

You have got to hate when a track closes. Especially when they go to open it back up and somebody starts to complain about the noise. So many tracks have closed because of neighborhoods encroaching them.

Just had one here in SoCal close because of noise.  We are down to only 2 it is very sad.

Yes, its sad when they close. And I hate to say this more will. Here in SoCal (LA) pretty much where performance began, we have lost more tracks than anywhere else. 7 or 8 that I can recall...What gets me the most is when a track has been in its current location for decades, then some idiot moves in next door and complains. Get real. If you do not like the noise dont move next to an airport, then complain about it. Sorry, had to rant...

A little good news here is SoCal one track re-opened irwindale and one more might re-open soon.  It is only rumors at this point, but at least they are good rumors.  People are saying K & N is going to put up money for the sound wall so everyone wish us luck.
