Lunch at BJ's Saturday Dec 21
« on: December 20, 2013, 07:11:55 pm »
Looking forward to meeting our newer member and CJ owner Dimsy hailing from across the pond tomorrow. My buddy  $POORCARRICH  and maybe Brian Conway as well? If anyone is in San Diego and reads this feel welcome to join us.

Hi Scott Happy Holidays to you and the family.

Dimi tells me you took him for a ride after he left our little get together. Brian took him for his first ride ever in a 428 Cobra Jet. I bet he can't wait for his new to him 1969 Acapulco Blue R code to finally arrive in South Australia. This is the car formerly owned and restored by $poorcarrich.

Here are a couple pics from yesterday.

First EVER for Dimi even though he has a 67 Fastback. The mighty CJ will forever leave a lasting impression ha!

Kerry,
Merry Christmas to you and your family as well.  This is exactly why we all get these cars. Drive 'em and meet some good people along the way. Nice to have new members like Dimy into our "club" of CJ owners  :D

About Dimi's first ride.  Scott you should have seen it.  Major shopping center/mall, high noon, 4 shopping days before Christmas no parking anywhere.. Went looking for a quite piece of road so I could jump on it but that was not going to happen.  Never left first gear.  Got back to the restaurant and if they weren't trying to run into me they were trying to back into me.  But Dimi got a ride in a 4:30 car and I bet you know a few good spots for some fun so it all turned out OK.  Just a little teaser I know he wants to get behind the wheel of his own car.  Brian
