Inside the speedway will be closed & secured.

I don't know what they will do outside.

I recieved an email asking if my registered car had won an award at a MCA Grand national show in 2012 or 2013. If so Special displayed parking for the event. Anyone else get that email?

I received the same e-mail, but didn't see the part about special parking.

I plan on being there with my 68.5 but will probably just stay at the drag strip for the duration unless they will let me in to the oval track for a few hours. I plan on going to the NMCA race in Atlanta the weekend before and the FE reunion the week after.

That is the plan.  I am not much of a car show guy.  My car has original paint, 42,000 miles and what I like to call "original dings dents and scratches" so when I go to car shows someone is always trying to tell me I should paint and restore it.  My answer is usually that then I would never drive it.  At the Mustang 40th I had several people scold me for driving it but they were quick to assure me that as long as I was not racing it that it would be "OK" to drive it.  I told them that I had not raced it lately, at least not since Tuesday at a test and tune in St Louis. The engine made 714 HP and 655 torque on the dyno.

Winnipeg , Hope to meet you there. I will have two 68 1/2 cars. Glad you are bringing it out. There was a sweet White 135 car and also a White Production car at Beaver Springs racing last year. Should be bigger and better.

Hey David

The car is still not for sale LOL.  I plan on having my old Keystones on it like the ones that were on your California car.  When I saw those pictures with the flat tires on the Keystones I noted that it had those same Volkswagen model tires on the front skinnies like when I got my Keystones from Norm Nevin (engine builder for Tom Stafford, Steve Steel and Marcel Cloutier) in the mid 70's. I am very much looking forward to seeing your cars.  Did you say you were going to the Mustang 50th with your cars?
