Yes the black 55 used in American Graffitti (one of the cars used in 2 Lane Blacktop, just repainted) is still around.  Out on the East coast, I think New Jersey or Maryland.  Still unrestored condition.  The black car is the actual car that was used for the racing scene's, at the dragstrip in 2 Lane Blacktop (grey primered then) and also the racing scenes in American Graffitti.  It's a little more hopped up than the 2nd car that was used for interior filming (sold at BJ)   Black car has aluminum heads and such.

Here's a short clip of it with it's current owner, kind of funny with the guys horsing around.  Looks like it still has some balls at the end of the video

I saw this car along with John Milner's (Paul Le Mat) deuce coupe together at Hot August Nights a few years back, with Paul present signing autographs, pretty cool.  Very cool guy that talked for 5-10 minutes about how finicky the deuce coupe was on the set, constantly tuning the carbs, but fun to drive.

Anyway both 2 Lane Blacktop and American Graffitti are cult classics that is a must watch for anyone that calls themselves a car person.

Only Pratt car I thought was a fair price Shelby's Shelby.   All the cars sold on Sat night were crazy priced.   And any others sold on other days were quite high because the people with big money to burn wanted a car that was attached to him.   I don't put much  into someone paying so much money for that car.   It is not the norm.

That would be the black one I posted above, with an L88 427, aluminum heads, 4.88 gears etc...  It was used in the dragstrip action in 2 Lane Blacktop, then simply repainted for American Graffitti.   The other one that just sold at BJ was more of a movie camera car and stayed in 2 Lane Blacktop form, and had a milder 454 with iron heads, smaller cam, etc...

I do get a kick out of the "experts" though. A lime gold 67 GT500 went thru. The commentator said that is a rare color for a Shelby. WTF? I believe lime gold was the MOST pop color on 67 Shelbys.....

If I remember correctly 24% of the entire '67 shelby run was painted Lime Gold, and on top of that it was THE most popular color user by Ford in 1967 and close to it again in '68.
