FE @ Drag Week
« on: September 19, 2015, 09:58:04 pm »
Not sure if any of you are interested but FE guru Jay Brown from Minnesota won his "modified big block naturally aspirated" class at Drag Week running high 8 second ET's in his 69 Shelby clone with a 585 inch SOHC engine making 1000 hp. Drag Week contestants must drive their cars between 5 different tracks in 5 days covering close to 1000 miles and must not have any support vehicles other than what their car can tow. Needless to say it is a major feat to be able to run in the 8's and still drive it towing a small trailer.

Congratulations to Jay

Love his Galaxie but nice to see him back in the Mustang.
Immense effort getting a SOHC to the end of the week cranking out that much HP.
Jay, without a doubt is a wizard

I've tried following the story, but too hard to get the video footage. Epic result by him 1000hp from a 585CI street car - far out...
