Only got one pass in after all this time but will try and get out this weekend for a bunch of passes .  The track is often greasy on test and tune night so I went after it easy . The sixty foot going after it lightly was a 2.07 -8.18 in the eighth mile at 89.3 mph and 12.56 at 112.04 in the 1/4 .Wish we could have gotten another pass to leave harder and get my normal high 1.70's to low 1.80's 60 foot and see a real low 12 possibly high 11 pass and maybe another 3 to 4 mph. Time  to try another better hooking track soon for some more impressive numbers .
Very pleased with those numbers for a easy first ever pass on a new car .

It is a plus .040 block with flat top pistons H beam rods .Block was decked and line honed assembled and blue printed by Barrie Poole. The heads are cut to minimum chamber size and Cometic head gaskets were used .040 thick. Stock size stainless steel valves with a good 3 angle valve job .The cam is a Comp with near stock lift and solid lifters and Ford adjustable rocker arms .The Pure stock rules allow up to 1.5 more points of compression than stock .Think its have around 11.4 .It has a stock C8OE cast iron intake and I have a C9AF-U carb on it with the jetting near factory sizes .Two sizes smaller on the primary jets I think. Have to run factory exhaust manifolds and had them ceramic coated . It made 450 hp at 5800 rpm but was still gaining 4 hp per 100 rpm at that point but kept blowing the exhaust pipes off the manifolds every time it hit 5800 it should pull to at least 6200 maybe a bit better .I don't mind sharing info with anyone so ask away .

Those are really good numbers! A "stock eliminator" engine in the '70's was built similar except for headers and 9" slicks. They would run mid '11s and you are doing 11's with cast iron manifolds and ''street" tires! Most impressive.

Just getting back to the 1.70 60' time should give you an 11 second time slip. My Shelby is in the 1.48-1.5 range and runs 11 teens , with slicks of course.

WOW!

I have a few questions please.

What's the size and type of tire.

What's the air density and altitude.

What's the timing curve, initial, start and finish mechanical, and all in.

Cam specs.

Transmission type and rear end type and ratio.

Weight of the car and what's in the trunk.

Very very impressive!

Much of the credit is due to the driver. What a feat to keep wheel spin under control.

Please advise.

Very neat Steve.  PS is exactly where I'm heading with mine.  I'm leaving a bit on the table with mine but I still expect it to be quicker than the bird was.

Got back to the track early this evening ,not my favorite time to go it was cloudy all day and track temp was less than ideal .They prepped one lane with rain expected . The first pass I messed up and went 12.94 @112 mph went around and ran right away and with a better but less than ideal 60 ft of 1.89 ran a 12.28 @112.48 mph .Let it cool down for a while and had a worse 1.91 60ft but went a 12.24 @112.76 .Spun on the last pass and it got quite dark so we left . A really good 60ft will get it in the 11's a 1.70 something or better.  Now I have the itch even worse .

The tires are repo G-70-14 polyglas
4.11 gear
Total timing 40 degrees with 110 race fuel
Not sure what the air was but not great by any means track is around 800 ft
C-6 auto trans with stock ratios
Trunk was empty car weighs around 3120
Cam is a fraction over stock lift which they allow .Don't remember the specs but its a comp unit with solids .
Trunk is empty
a friend checked the air was at 1700 ft when I was running
Hope this helps . On the stuff I did not answer I don't have the answer or it is not handy at the moment .
