'68 tail light housing and lens
« on: January 09, 2016, 06:21:12 am »
Were the tail light housings natural in color or did they have some type of plating? Also, my original lens are dull but not scratched or cracked. What have you guys done to bring back the "new" look in the housings and lens?

Thanks
Gary

Gary,
You can have the housing related and use a plastic polish for the lens. You can find NOS lens on eBay pretty easily. There were two different housing used in 68, one has a C7ZZ part number and is a "one piece" unit. The other is a C8ZZ part number and is two separate pieces, they are screwed together. The C8ZZ unit has a yellow zinc plating on the outside ring.
