1969 428 SCJ expert engine rebuild
« on: March 02, 2016, 05:57:49 pm »
Good morning,
I have my dream car, a 1969 Mach 1, 428 SCJ.  She brings a tear to my eye everytime I crank her over.  Only issue is that she has a 351W vice her original motor.  I found a date correct block that will hopefully clean up, as well as an intake.  What I am looking for is an expert rebuild shop that can properly put together the motor for me to drop in, and that might have access to the rest of the parts that I do not have.  I live in the Virginia area, so if anyone knows a shop on the Eastern seaboard that is no kidding a true Ford expert, I could sure use the help.

The best FE shop I know of in northern Virginia is C&C Motorsports in Manassas. The owner's name is Carroll Carter. I'm in Fairfax Station if I can ever help with anything.

+1 on C & C. I had mine done there. Chris is Carroll's son, he did mine. Really good people. Ask them to show your the Boss 429's that they make. NICE.
