Holley Carb finish (gold color)
« on: January 20, 2018, 10:27:59 am »
The very expensive Holley carbs for sale today appear to have a flat finish w a golden hue. How did Holley and present day restorers do this?

Roger the Yellow Dichromite finish is a Gold Cad Plating. Joe Bunetic told me he likes the solution better after his friend dips GM carbs because it has a Greenish hue when used up some.  He says is more like "the day"
No doubt some of them are more Yellow than they were originally. The new reissue Holley carbs have the lighter Gold with Greenish hue.
