Looking for some fuel system parts
« on: July 13, 2018, 10:18:45 am »
I have tried calling around to a couple of the places I am aware of with no luck for one reason or another.  Been trying Mansfield Restoration a couple of times and its like the phone system there is knocked out.  I have a 70 Mustang 428CJ and I found the original carb, got it rebuilt and its installed.  Now I am looking for the correct line from the fuel pump up to the carb with the filter.  also the balance tube on the passenger side.  Any recommendations where I can buy all of this stuff?  Hopefully a one stop shop?

National Parts Depot should have both. They are close to you in Ventura.

Yes they are but they are a place I avoid.  Maybe its just my luck but the quality of parts I have gotten there has always been sub-par.  Its been about 15 years since I went there though.  Maybe they have improved.

CJPony has both those lines I believe. I think that is where I bought mine.   Dave R.

I am quite sure they all sell the nearly the same parts with very few differences .I have never had quality problems with NPD they are great to deal with .
had many 428 CJ and SCJ cars over the last 30 years.I currently own a 68 1/2 coupe and a 69 R code SCJ Coupe and a 70 R code SCJ Cougar Eliminator .I am looking for a 70 428 coupe if anybody knows of one for sale.

Right now I am looking at Semomustang.com.  They look to have everything under one roof.

NPD is still in business so I am sure there are a lot of people satisfied with them.  The last couple of experiences I had with them were not good for a couple of reasons.  Not saying they are a bad company.  Just saying I had bad experiences with them.  Bad enough where I don't think I would ever go back.

To further the discussion, NPD is top notch, very quick delivery, shipping is sometimes high.

Bottom line as to quality, the part you buy, be it from NPD, Mustangs Unlimited,CJPony, etc., etc., ALL get their parts from the same manufactuer, not saying there is one manuf. for all parts, but a specific part , i.e. fuel pick up, are more than likely only made by one company, and they sell to all of the vendors.
