« on: December 04, 2018, 09:05:13 pm »
Just registered the Mach for Carlisle. They have a holiday discount going on now saved about 12 bucks for the show field. 50th anniversary of the Mach 1 being celebrated there this year ! Should be a do not miss event !,

I know in years past Scott got a  special show area for the cars of registry members (and maybe an awning) . Is that the case this year ?  My  Q code "Barn Find" was pretty well received at the Fe race and reunion show so I was thinking of bringing it to Carlisle before it gets banished to storage forever and I'd rather park it with the guys from here than in the regular show if we still do that...

This thing actually won the "Diamonds in the Rough" class   before it died in the burnout box at Beaver.....    :o

Unfortunately, it's not. The tents aren't free unless a certain number of club members (something like 25) pre-register for the show, and we haven't met that number for the last several years. I paid for it myself for a few years, but the number of people who showed up to take advantage of the area continued to decline so I finally stopped.

No Problem, just wanted to make sure I registered correctly, I'll just register with the rest of the 69/70's ( I'm guessing that's a class, I'm usually in the swap meet, not really a car show guy...)

Just register for the 1970 mach1 stock class and you will catch some registry members in that area,! Tim will be in the 69’ stock row, I,ll be in the 70,usually a pretty good showing of Mach’s and this being the 50th anniversary should bring some more out of the woodwork hopefully!

Heads up for anybody traveling through CT. on 95 to Carlisle.
They are replacing a bridge in Stamford (Exit 9) over the next two weekends.

At Carlisle, Tons of rain this afternoon, Tommorrow and Sat. should be nice. Registered my green turd in the 69/70 Mach1 class (B305) Only one other 69 there, next to a big tent full of late model Mach1's. Guessing more cars will show up tomorrow when the place dries out ….
