Not many cars came with it and you wont find a new one.I wouldn't worry about it .
had many 428 CJ and SCJ cars over the last 30 years.I currently own a 68 1/2 coupe and a 69 R code SCJ Coupe and a 70 R code SCJ Cougar Eliminator .I am looking for a 70 428 coupe if anybody knows of one for sale.

Most Cougars got them. But then were intended to be quieter the the Mustang. I also doubt they interchanged. The reproduction ones for the Cougars are flat, not embossed and tend to look poor and rub the paint off the air cleaner lid.

The repro Mustang one is the same way.  Rubs on the air cleaner lid.

They are so rough, that even putting a t-shirt cut to the size of the lid, left marks on my chrome lid on my Cougar GT-E, had to buy a second one to put on at shows.
